Discovered this today. Well more like being in the thick of it amidst a more relaxed season for me. So there's still spare processing space to think.... Very Happy (otherwise, I'll just go thru motion withjout thinking ... )

"the stress level of the day is directly proportional to how much work u have left to do and the time to do it before the final appointment of the day."

Go figure. this will work for both social and corporate situations.

if u can understand what I'm trying to say then you would agree that this would lead to a remedy. a simple one.

To not feel stressed out, do not schedule your appointments too near each other. you end up fucking up all of them.

To keep track of time, first learn to pace yourself.

To do more work in a day, learn to be focused and not be distracted by things around you. Like reading this forum and chatting on messengers or ogling that sexy bitch across the room. ( what's her colour for the day?)

this advice wou;d not fully eradicate stress but it'll lessen it. remember - a lil' stress is good, too much is bad.

Heck, stress sia!

There's always a bigger Fish!

Sometime back, was at St James Power station. Every self respecting driver who thinks that the have an expensive or respectable marque or a tiong chia would who cares for valet parking would want/hope/crave/beg to have their ride park in the front row.

Along came this champaign gold BMW 525 with 3 babes. Driver stepped out and and the 3 babes followed. Heads turned. He felt good. Proceed into Bellini.

Point to note: there are 2 valet stastion in St James Power Station. The one in front park your ride anywhere as long as there's a lot in the common csar park. the second one is more exclusive and line cars right in front of DragonFly. Bellini is at the front ofthe station. But this BM driver parks at the back.... go figure about the want/hope/crave/beg part.

The merry group had their fun in Bellini. ok, this part salvage the want/hope/crave/beg part\ - The group adjourn to St James power House. ( still not dragonfly though) and on moving to the powerhouse, the BM driver saw that his ride was now shifted to the back rows. In his ride's place was a Masarati Grande Sport Coupe. Still not the best ride on the row then, but that is enuff to nudge it off thed "chart".

That's the way of the world. There's always a bigger fish. In this case, the fish I'm referring to is a competition rather than a target/prey/objective.

Nevertheless, it goes on to reminds (NB: "reminds" cos many already knows this) that there's no end to being good. in some cases, there's no limit in going to the extreme.

We poison our rides, then we see some extreme stuff, say a TD04, on our make and we go, "hell! I should do that too!" "Or "why didn't I do it first, I had that idea too!"..... Duh!

I'd say - There's always a bigger Fish. You may be the first in your make. But there's some one before you who's done itr before. There's a faster ride. There's a bigger snail. there's a higher powered ride. There's a more expensive ride. There a more illegal ride. any category you think of, there's always a bigger fish.

The other side of the coin when this "fish" refers to targets/prey/babes isanother story for another time Very Happy

Seems like the long term vision of creating a group of Chio rides for a photoshoot is materialising soon. that's good.

at the moment, I can count the turtle, Sakuragi streetstarr, Dub streetstarr, Sith streetstarr, hungry monster (TBC), FCUK, Piao, Yun ... can't think liaoz ...

only 8?

Was hoping for 12.

Wanna do a TeamES ala anime kinda of individual car photoshoot with Bios of each ride and driver (with street names).

it'll be cool.

The guys will REMEMBER the ES even after many years later.

such are the ingredients to some good ol' grandfather stories for your future grand kids Very Happy "see your grand dad used to be a street racer ...." Shocked

Hi bros who replied.

Pls forgive me for this one.

I am looking for rides that are visually nice (aka Tiong Chias). More of a personal project as it will involve my work team (photgrapher only lah).

The group shoot part I will organise again with all the mods' blessing at another occasion. So please do not be mistaken that I'm trying to pull off some elitist shit.

(NB: that twinX looks subtly nice, so is tt Bdevil - and I really like their rides, but they do not fall into the Tiong Chias look category .... oh and heard from Roy tt vynez' vision is also good Very Happy)

Anyway, it is only an idea for now.

Notice that all the rides I listed does indeed has a theme and the owner did somehow deliberately or otherwise named their rides. That to me is something worth mentioning as it shows that there's really passion and thoughts put into their rides.

I want all bros to understand that this idea is posted in my blog page, and that it is something personal. And I sincerely hope that there are no hard feelings for those that are not mentioned. This is one case where I want to be objective about the rides yet hope for understandings and support from all my friends and bros.

Hope this part of the blog doesn't further complicate matters. If there's any unhappiness created, please contact me directly or PM me or msn. I will be ready to explain further.

Got a lot of thoughts inside waiting to explode out ...

about fake people, about my theory on car make vs user personality and about, about dubster on the street ....

I really dislike people who are Yes Man in front of people they want to create a good impression with. This motive to have a good impression can be due to business reasons, social reasons or any special reasons. What ever the motive is, I suppose I can emphatise most of the time ( cos I can be a yes man in some situations too) unless it is at the expense of the your closer pals. That! I cannot condon!

AND it is thru such incidents that you see how much you mean and where u stand in their minds.

No thanks. Dun need such people in my life.

The theory about car marque 's marketing campaign eventually targeting and attracting a group of people with similar charactrer traits hold true once again!

why do small 1.5 cars (entry level ride of a reliable J marque) think they are very fast when they are driven by scruffy looking bengsters who wanna cut in from the left most lane into a merging lane?

why do grouchy looking obese ladies in a ninth generation hippo (again from the same reliable brand) went against traffic and cut into your lane just when you turn into the lane on the right direction and she end up starring at u for being at the right lane?

why does it not pay when u tot u dun wanna alarm the left lane users and signal before a turn and the ones that usually sped up to block you are usually kimchi breaths?

and why is it that the lowest denomination of the evo derivations cannot understand that no matter how much they try, their ride still can't outrun some? so why do they do actions that let them feel that they broke traffic rules cos they have balls of steel and that they can race along orchard road? Big fucking deal!

wow and the topper... going along lane 1 at 90km/h or less, this entry level reliable marque is oblivious of my tail-gating, my zig-zaging ( side is blocked but this very relaible car's front has at least a mile of free space) and eventually honk ... but no response. what happened after this is immaterial. just note their anti-social behaviour.

inferiority complex? ... the more u dun have something, the more u crave for it, and once you have a cheap alternative for it, u wanna flaunt it! whao! and flaunting it in many forms - the I have a ride so I have a right to the road, I pay road tax you know! I drive a 1.5 but I have ballz of steel and takumi's skill, so I can tear your 2.4l if I scare u off the road. Watch me overtake you with my reliable brand's low revving engine that I wack once in a while on weekends only to high revs and see how it actually transform into a track car! I am so not jealous of your nicer ride and i like my ride stock, so your ride is obviously Beng! I am rushing for time and you have to emphatise with me! The speed limit is 90, how fast you want me to go on lane 1?

and it always happens with the entry level models or kimchi flavoured rides...

why? cos these rides' marketing campaign and marketing mix happens to be targeting at just this group of people!

the cars are AFFORDABLE! and they are AFFORDABLE and also they are AFFORDABLE. wow. so many good points ...

ok and they have many good points too like cup holders, folding mirror, ICE with graphic display, internal clock, rear seat cup holders and DOHC engines! wow - VALUE FOR MONEY ( fucking hell! nowthis term becomes a vulgar word! thanks to its common abuse!)

so who do they attract - all new entrants and the kiasus.

and these people came with a pack of self righteous, self imposed ideas of what a ride is to them. for the kiasu man- it is a family member wahahahah. for the young army boy, it is a babe magnet - again wahahahahah, and for the new license holder, it is a milestone for achievement, again wahahahahaha.

ok I jest. there are indeed some truth in their thinking (all practical and stuff) but the thinking for their car is not the only factor that reflect their on-road behaviour, it is their personality as a whole. somehow, they just show their kiasu and ugly side, show the lack of grace and generousity more often than a more mature driver (usually driving some other makes maybe because he had been thru better times or just a generally more generous or "see open" folk).

pin point further. we have to understand the mechanics of probablity. yes. the more a population of consumer buy a certain model(car), the bigger the group size gets. as the group size grew, the chance of see abnormalies increases (in absolute terms) and the chance of meeting these abnormalies on the road - when they are cars - will also be higher.

so the nett results, u just happened to be pissed by such people more often. and as the experience reinforces itself, u draw a conclusion on this group of people. can't balme us for the conclusion though. wanna look better, behave yourself then.

meanwhile, we will remain as critical.

Love your ride, it will love you too Very Happy

CNY is coming so its time to groom your ride up. For some TeamES bros, it seem like the right thing to do. Yes, go on, you will stand out from the crowd! Very Happy

Went to painless dent removal. Again. Still fast and good service. Drove out feeling good cos ride now has no unglam coin size dents. Funny how lilttle dents that are barely noticeable can affect what YOU feel about your ride. something like you CO have some pimples for a few days and u felt she looked different Very Happy

Dubster Streetstarr had been thru some discomfort lately. Hell! But tis the season to be prosper so he's now nearly good as new. just a few more tweak later...

ego boost!

Parked opposite Parco Bugis where many resturants and drinking holes were. Got a nice lot beside 7-11. wow high profile lot Very Happy

along came a young cahp in a Lancer and his friend. parked opposite my lot. and started starring.

at this time, I was kinda far away from Dubster Streetstarr as we are already checking out the restaurants.

As I pass them, over heard this :

"What car is that huh? Dunno leh. ...."
"It's a Civic lah ...."

Felt good - Dubster is indeed stealth enuff Very Happy (duh! ego maniac!)

then another friend called as CO and me were at the dessert shop.
"Saw your ride! my guy friend says your ride damn beng!"
"Tell your friend he's got no taste!"
"No I won't"

(The things some gals will do to look good in front of a probable target, and that may not even end up with sex! Very Happy)

Anyway, this dude just complimented my ride again! Beng ride = Tiong Chia = "think this car look different".

Cool. Now I'm in the right mood for CNY! king

Car Spa or Car gang Bang?

CNY is next week. So gotta get Dubster up to shape. Book my regular polisher fpor a grooming session. The usual shit : polish of dirt and stains, wax, vacuum, and detailing...

Ther guy's schedule was packed so onlymanaged to book him for 9 pm slot.

After dinner with CO, met him at my car park and with him were 2 other guys!

told the guy my dubster's "problem areas" tol ook out for and then they start to work like a team of special force.

One went for the wheels, the other the ass and the last one the roof!

all out of each other's way and all making good progress!

one thing I must say, these guys are pros! they are soft with dubster yet meticulous. good. it's getting more like a spa and dubster is getting a gang massage.

I made them raise my bonnet so that there will be no "accidental" smudging of polishing cream on my matt finishes.

every corner and crevice and slot were taken care of. from long brush for every of my botex rims, to toothbrush for the body kit joining areas.

it's not everyday that you see 3 big man all holding a cloth in one hand and a toothbrush on the other hand: D

looking from the side, Dubster seem to be getting a massage from 3 masseurs wahahah. A gang massage! or watdafuk! a gang bang?! bleeaah!!!

nobody abuse my dubster!

anyways, dubster is now in good shape. deep balck gloss, new decals recently, and no more dents!
