My XP with KM

My aircon compressor problem I have been complainning for past 3 services: first in Leng Kee twice, Mandai and finally in Jurong where Wong finally agreed to " thoroughly" check and replaced. Thats after I written a big paragraph of complaint in their survey form!!

I have all the bad experience in Mandai and Leng Kee that I finally landed myself in Jurong. Mandai was the worst, rattling sound at door panel, aircon compressor, squeeking sound from drums, the SA told me all checked and fine. But in the end, door panel still got sound, compressor still failed at times and the drum was choked with dirt (rectified by Espace). Leng Kee also, everything is always FINE....

Wong is good becos he read through my past maintenance record b4 he attends to me. When I highlight a problem, he can immediately tell me yes he knows when and where I have complained at the same problem previously. Sound tracing wise.... CMI, he has helped to to trace the sound from door panel twice, but now... still rattling.....

I had the same senario also...

went to KM get them to check in the end SE say nothing wrong...

bang at them... say me mod this mod that... ask me change back to stock them come back to KM... somemore want to void me warranty CCB...

care to share which workshop u been to change the mounting....?

Mine with KM...dunno how many cases!

1st Case - Headlights Fog, I have to go back to KM Ubi 4 times to get it rectified with each time leaving my car there for a day. They juz dismantle the headlights to do clean up and reseal. They refuse to change the headlights, claim tat i have change to Philip Aftermarket Lights n tat causes it to fog. But after changing back to stock, it still fogs.

2nd Case - Engine Mounts, juz drive in to KM Jurong for engine mounts checks becoz find my ride vibrates quite abnormally, Wong check n say the engine mounts at extractor side crack n replace 1 piece. The other piece at power steering side was crack but Wong say he never change tat piece for ES before, so cannot claim... i told him to change and i pay, he say cannot n need to order. Refer me to go KM Ubi, Mandai or Alexandra. In the end, went to outside workshop to change.

Most Recent Case - Go KM Ubi again, becoz ride vibrates alot when air-con cuts in, leave car for a day... at the end of the day KM did nothing n tell me vibration is normal, cannot expect car to perform like day 1 condition as my car is old (not even 3 yrs old yet) ,n later tell me vibration is due to my lowering springs, silicon exhaust mounts n operated exhaust (they cant tell the diff between stock n operated, mine was 101% stock). after i was diverted into the workshop with 2 engineers. In the end, went to outside workshop again n change the engine mounts for the air filter box side. Problems solved.

Other Cases like our air-con solenoid valves whistling, door panels vibration, air con foul smell from 20,000km servicing with KM already highlighted, till today still living with it. Cannot solved!

And KM favourite quote, they have never claim this spare parts before for any ES civic. (Indirectly means u cant claim either)

Just my share of experience.

Went down to KM at my 2nd servicing @ 10,000km. Complained that my air con not really cold enough. I told them to re-charge the gas for me. They noted in the book that it wasn't cold, and told me they will take note of me during the next servicing.

Went back @ 20,000km. By this time, i had already installed an ATF cooler. As i had a busy schedule ahead, i didn't really have time to speak to them about my problems, so i just simply dumped my car there, and went for work.

At my 30,000km, this time, i told them about my air-con problem. They told me its due to my ATF cooler, thats why not cold. I was stunned. I told them, at 10k, already got problem. Now 30k, still same. Not changing?? They replied, that i have to take out my ATF cooler before they can diagnose it properly. Damm it.

To be fair, i did ever get a change of my shock absorber once. And it was on 1 piece only. Not 2. Weird though, cos i thought they would normally change both of them.

I'm thinking of doing servicing outside, but still cannot find one workshop which i'm comfortable in. Any recommandations at the Benoi area???
