to those who have not yet done, pls, basic is the tire, brakes, suspensions. you can't do these three first, forget about up the power... time to upgrade to PREMIUM rubber ya?

you go the set up you proposed, your rubber must be at the level of the Toyo Proxes R1R leow... T1R also cannot leow...

NOTHING else can do already once you hit that level of engine performance. not to mention high temp/high efficiency brake pads and fluids for those frequent near e-brake speed modulations... hahaha 4to5 of those from 150 - 90s ... and your normal brakes/fluids will start to fade & boil leow...

hahaha... this is an acid test you can do yourself


go to a fairly lenghy and empty road late at nite... go up to 100kmh...

use left foot to brake hard while right foot continue to add throttle to fight against the brakes...

normal brakes, less than 20 seconds... will fade leow... that's how fast you go up to 300 degrees on normal pads...


of course real world won't do that la... but how fast it cool down back to use? you go time that lor... hahaha... it takes a while ok? and step one time 5 seconds... temp will pass 300 again and fade continues on 2nd attempt...

now you know how many times you can step hard on your brakes without them fading... around 20 seconds's worth ba... given time to cool if you got that time... down to 250 degrees... before you lay it on again...


this may never happen on normal local driving conditions... so those who never go out of singapore, forget this... stock is more than you can dish out leow, under normal circumstances.

those who go faster... need higher temp/higher performance brakes...

if it were anyone else other than george last nite approaching a bro's rear... at that speed... sigh... dread to think of the consequences man...


how high is enough? hahaha you go and decide ba... my personal recommendation would be at least double the endurance of the brakes... if not more... if going track.... even higher man... rotors, hoses and fluids count too but that's another koyok for another day...
