manufacturers claim quite a long life. the lowest I've seen is 60,000 km. Denso has a manufacturer's range of 80,000km Volker Racing ZX series has a manufacturer's range of 160,000 km Splitfire V has a manufacturer's range of 120,000 km NGK has... 60,000 km (this one to be re-verified and corrected) NGK seems to have many models... Irridium IX, Irriway7, etc... so may be different for each model. Usually I will change the plugs in about 30,000 km or as and when the car still feels sluggish after a general servicing and cleaning of plugs. but 30,000 km is KM's servicing manual's plug change timing for 'stock plugs' haha... so when the pocket is poor, irridium plugs can last the distance... just make sure you dismount and mount the plugs carefully and mind the threads... once they are damaged, may also damage the plug housing threads... and that will be very costly.
