| i just read one magazine, import tuner issue Oct 2006, topic about high flow cat and decat. they used 1999 Civic SI to test the difference between stock cat, 2 high flow cat and 'test pipe'(decat).
using stock cat 147hp, 105lb-ft
using magnaflow ceramic core hi-flow cat 150hp, 107lb-ft
using magnaflow metallic core hi-flow cat 151hp, 107lb-ft
using test pipe 152hp, 108lb-ft
conclusion, decat and hi-flow hp difference onli like 1-2hp, reduce 10pounds will do loh to get the gain back rather than harming the environment. | |
