Yup... Turtle was on Geylang Road/Sims Ave heading East - about to reach the Geylang Lor 1 junction/MRT.
Was on lane 3, lane 5 was bus lane... and 50 m away from junction... forgot that I wanted to turn left at the junction and so when all stopped at traffic light I signalled, winded down window and waved my intention to let me tru as there was a small space on lane 2 where a 10 ton truck had stopped 4 metres away from front vehicle...
as soon as I made my intentions known, the 10 ton truck saw me move, and he quickly put his truck in gear (yeah I heard the gears crunch) and he popped his clutch to sprint and close the gap!!
My Turtle's left headlight were already on collision path with his right wheel... the fender damn high la... so boh pian had to swerve right to avoid being crushed...
of course he passed as i moved slowly as traffic was slowly moving again... and i waved at him in 'thanks' really no fingers, just the whole hand palm showing... friendly wave...
the van behind of course saw the whole thing and let me in to filter to the 5th lane in front of the MRT station... as I passed the 10 ton truck i waved again in thanks, signalling left and moved off.
The thought that came to mind is this: He already stopped. When he saw me move in to fill a slot he himself open, why did he purposely close that gap to stop me?
This is not the JB causeway jam leh... such a SOUR GRAPE.... and bully too...
I wish him well....
Thanks goes to the van that opened a gap for me to filter... din get your number... at least got considerate people around...
