| Ever notice that a merc cab driver always act like he is a luxury car owner? and that yelloow top act like they are lao jiaos?
Let me do some stereotypes here....
trans cab are generally nice people with middle to low education and can be nice but once provoked can be nasty. or even violent. known to have a liking to "zeng their cab"
City cab used to be a gathering of retrenched semi pros so there are many ex-middle managers. as such, many of them feel that they are doing us a favour when they ferry you. the attitude has improved over the years.
premier cabs are ah bengs. the have the highest sample size of road rage drivers - including their boss himself. - I 've see ( on a random sampling observation) more premier cab drivers showing inconsiderate to dangerous driving on the road. and they are not even remorseful. I once horned a premier cab for cutting lane and squeezing out fellow road users off the merging lane just so he could be ahead and he turn back at me and gestured some hand signs. (probably shouting inside his cabin)
Comfort - the most varied and general profiled company - for simple reasons that they are the biggest.
TIBS or SMRT -many of them used to be drivers working under a highly structured and bureaucratic system. and they once had the fastest ticker in town. so some of them felt victimised and bitter and complained to their fares when they had the chance.
all merc cab drivers - these self preclaimed elites think and behave like the aristocrats of the public transport world ... heck they still charge the same fee .... only that they pay higher rental and visit the airport more often .... self delusion? or work pride? u decide | |
